Product Overview

The Mitech MFP17-B Fully Automatic Film Processor is an advanced, digitally controlled solution for efficient and high-quality film development. Designed for industrial radiographic inspection, the MFP17-B automates the entire film processing cycle—developing, fixing, washing, and drying—ensuring consistent results and minimizing operator workload.

Equipped with a super digital display board, microcomputer control system, and high-strength DuPont roller group, the processor accommodates a wide range of film sizes. Its intelligent countdown monitoring system transitions to standby automatically after processing, optimizing energy use and extending system lifespan.

Engineered for use in demanding environments, the MFP17-B is ideal for applications in aerospace, petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, metallurgy, and other heavy industries that rely on nondestructive testing (NDT) using film.

Key Features

  • Fully Automatic Operation: Automates film development, fixing, washing, and drying for consistent output.

  • Smart Control System: Microcomputer program control with digital display for temperature, timing, and mode settings.

  • Rapid Warm-Up & Standby: Countdown monitoring enables fast preheating and automatic shift to standby mode.

  • High Film Capacity: Processes up to 120 small films or 25 large films per hour.

  • Adjustable Drying & Developer Temps: Developer: 20–40°C, Dryer: 20–70°C—ensures clear, streak-free results.

  • Multi-Size Compatibility: Supports film widths from 60 mm to 435 mm.

  • Low Liquid Waste: Built-in circulation and replenishment systems keep chemical use efficient and fresh.

  • Optimized Drying Duct System: Both sides of the film are dried evenly—no water spots.

Working Principle

The film processing cycle involves four sequential steps: developing, fixing, washing, and drying. Film is automatically transferred through dedicated tanks where precise temperature and chemical conditions are maintained by the built-in microcomputer system. A dedicated drying duct system then ensures both sides of the film are thoroughly dried, leaving no streaks or water marks.

The processor supports four operating modes:

  • Cold Mode: Power on, no active functions.

  • Preheating Mode: Warms up tanks without film loaded.

  • Wash Mode: Film in washing cycle.

  • Self-Inspection Mode: Checks system component status.

Usage Conditions

  • Operating Temperature: +23°C to +30°C

  • Storage Temperature: Up to +28°C

  • Relative Humidity: ≤70%

  • Environmental Requirements: Avoid vibration, magnetic interference, corrosive media, and heavy dust.

Safety & Maintenance Notes

  • Ensure water tap is opened before operation and closed afterward. Drain the tank at end of day to prevent algae.

  • Clean rollers and film path with soft cloth regularly.

  • Use 2–3 cleaning films before daily processing to remove residual dirt.

  • Do not operate without proper fluid levels in the replenishment tanks.

  • Check all pipe connections and internal tank surfaces before use.

  • Always turn off the main power and activate ventilation post-use.
