Application:
The Wet Film Thickness Gauge is used for checking the thickness of coatings applied to smooth surfaces. It is particularly suitable for measuring the thickness of wet paint, enamel lacquer, adhesives, architectural coatings, color coatings, varnish, and other types of coatings in industries such as chemical, construction, and manufacturing.
Measuring Procedure:
- Select the appropriate comb from the gauge based on the approximate known thickness.
- Hold the comb perpendicular to the surface of the coating to be measured.
- Press the comb into the coating until it stands square on the substrate.
- The wet film thickness is determined by the highest step on the comb that is coated with the material, along with the next (higher) step that remains uncoated.
Product Parameters:
- Standard: GB/T1764-79, GB/T134522-92, ISO2808-74
