Service classes
- Class A – accredited calibration: the exact laboratory, measurement, method, range and points must be confirmed within the laboratory's current accredited scope.
- Class B – traceable or OEM calibration: offered where an accredited route is unavailable or not required, subject to customer acceptance.
- Class C – assessment and quote: used for unusual, damaged, unsupported or technically uncertain instruments.
How the service works
- Provide the instrument make, model, serial number, measurement range, required points, tolerance and certificate requirement.
- We confirm laboratory acceptance, certificate class, price and expected turnaround.
- Once approved, portable instruments are delivered to Inspection Tool Specialists for booking, identification and condition inspection. For installed testing machines, an onsite visit is arranged instead.
- We coordinate transport to the laboratory and monitor progress.
- We check the returned instrument and original laboratory certificate before release.
Accreditation and traceability
SANAS- or ANAB-accredited routes may be available for selected measurement scopes. A named accreditation option is provisional until the exact instrument and requested work have been accepted in writing within the laboratory's current scope. If accredited scope cannot be confirmed, ITS may offer a traceable or OEM service, or an assessment quotation, where available.
Inspection Tool Specialists coordinates the service and does not represent itself as the calibration laboratory.
What the listed price includes
- Routine standard calibration within the confirmed scope
- The original laboratory certificate for the confirmed service class
- ITS coordination and transport between Inspection Tool Specialists and the calibration facility
Customer courier to or from ITS, express service, onsite work, additional points or channels, assessment, repairs, adjustments, replacement sensors, parts and unusual handling are excluded unless specifically quoted.
Third-party instruments and calibration fleets
Instruments do not need to have been purchased from Inspection Tool Specialists. We can assess professional third-party instruments and coordinate single units or batches, subject to laboratory acceptance. Customers managing multiple instruments may request consolidated quotations and future recalibration reminders.
Before sending an instrument
Please do not dispatch equipment until compatibility and scope have been confirmed. Calibration records measured performance at the stated points and does not guarantee that an instrument will pass. No adjustment, repair or additional work will proceed beyond the authorised amount without written approval.
