Overview
The CM8806FN is a compact dual-substrate coating thickness gauge for non-destructive measurement on ferrous (Fe) and non-ferrous (NFe) metal substrates. It automatically identifies the substrate type and is suited to automotive paint inspection, industrial coating control, electroplating and general surface-quality checks.
Key features
- Automatic Fe / NFe substrate recognition
- 0–1250 µm measurement range
- Integrated wear-resistant probe for simple one-hand operation
- Rotatable colour OLED display
- V-groove body design for easier measurement on pipes and curved workpieces
- User calibration using the supplied foils and reference blocks
Applications
- Automotive paint and bodywork inspection
- Powder coating and paint-process quality control
- Electroplating and galvanised coating checks
- Fabrication, incoming inspection and production QA
- Coating measurements on steel, aluminium and other supported metal substrates
