Overview
Measure water activity in food, feed, powders and other hygroscopic samples with the Austrian-made Schaller humimeter RH2. Select the measuring chamber or small-sample measuring cell kit to suit the sample. Water activity describes available water; it is different from percentage moisture content.
Key features
- Direct water activity display with temperature measurement
- USB interface and LogMemorizer basic software included in both listed kits
- Chamber or cell supplied with factory calibration documentation, calibration ampoules and case
Applications
- Food quality control
- Storage stability studies
- Powders, feed and pharmaceutical materials

Included equipment and kit selection
Both kits include RH2 body 12005 and USB module 12278 with cable and basic software. Chamber kit: measuring chamber 13700. Small-sample kit: measuring cell 14500. Each measuring assembly includes its supplied case, certified ampoules and factory calibration documentation. No extra certificate is charged.
Choosing the measuring assembly
Choose the chamber for larger solid samples. The small-sample cell uses removable sample vessels and can accommodate suitable ground samples, sauces and pastes. The chamber is generally unsuitable for liquids. Keep acids, alkalis, solvents and excessive salt concentrations away from either sensor. Match sample and instrument temperature before measurement.
Optional accessories and selection notes
Replacement calibration ampoules and application-specific sampling accessories can be quoted separately. Confirm sample suitability and required temperature conditions before selection.
