Product Description:

MR® Reference Test Block 1 – For Magnetic Particle Suspension Sensitivity Control
Designed for reliable verification of magnetic particle testing media, the MR® Reference Test Block 1 ensures the indication sensitivity of both colored and fluorescent magnetic particle suspensions. Manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 9934-2, this metal disc features residual magnetization and a series of rough and fine artificial cracks for accurate comparison.

It is ideal for routine quality control, field verification, and laboratory inspections, helping ensure that your magnetic particle test medium continues to meet international performance standards.

Key Features:

  • Standards-Compliant: Fully compliant with EN ISO 9934-2 for Magnetic Particle Testing

  • Residual Magnetization: Pre-magnetized for easy use—no external magnetization required

  • Precision-Crafted Cracks: Features both rough and fine surface cracks for multi-level sensitivity checks

  • Unique Serial Number: Laser-stamped on the side for traceability

  • Certified Reference: Supplied with a certificate and photographic reference for visual comparison

  • Dual-Use: Suitable for both colored and fluorescent magnetic particle testing

  • Surface Cleaning: Easy to maintain—recommended ultrasonic cleaning or gentle cloth wipe

  • Durable Metal Construction: Built to withstand repeated inspections under proper care

Usage Instructions:

  1. For Colored Magnetic Particle Testing:

    • Apply white contrast paint to the block and let it dry.

    • Apply colored magnetic particle suspension (by spray or dip), let the excess run off.

    • Inspect under daylight as per EN ISO 3059; compare with the reference photo.

  2. For Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Testing:

    • Apply fluorescent suspension (by spray or dip), let the excess run off.

    • Inspect under UV light according to EN ISO 3059; compare with reference image.

If all cracks are clearly indicated, the suspension is approved for use.

Scope of Delivery:

  • Reference Test Block 1

  • Inspection Certificate with Reference Photo

  • Individually Serialized Block (Art. No. 959)

Special Notes:

  • Avoid contamination with oil, grease, or exposure to strong external magnetic fields.

  • Separate reference blocks are recommended for colored and fluorescent methods.

  • Do not demagnetize. Clean gently using a slightly damp cloth or ultrasonic cleaning bath.
